It is that time of the year! With Canada now opening their borders, we can anticipate Canadian Ski Resorts to start opening for the approaching snow season!
If you wonder when Alberta, British Columbia or Eastern Canada ski resorts are opening, we’ve made it easy for you. We are counting down the days!

The first resorts opening for the 2021-2022 season
Resorts in Alberta will be the first to open and start the season before the rest.
The SkiBig3 – Lake Louise, Banff Sunshine and Mt Norquay are now open.
On November 19th, Marmot Basin will open.
All Alberta resorts will be closing for the winter on April 30, 2022.
Resorts opening in later November
Later in the month, several British Columbia ski resorts will open to ticketholders for the 2021-2022 season.
The first B.C. resort to open will be Sun Peaks on November 20th.
Big White and Whistler Blackcomb will open on November 25th, as will the first Québec resort, Mont Tremblant.
The last resorts to open in November will be Revelstoke and Québec resort, Mont Sainte Anne on the 27th.
Resorts opening in December
December is a big month, with the last of Québec and British Columbia resorts opening.
B.C. resort SilverStar and Québec’s Club Med Québec at Le Massif Resort will open on December 3rd.
Fernie Alpine Resort is set to open on December 4th.
The following week we will see Panorama open on December 10th, with Kicking Horse expected to also open the same day.
The next day, multiple B.C. resorts, Apex, Whitewater and Red Resort, open on the 11th.
Please note, some dates are subject to change at the discretion of the individual resort, dependent upon early season snow conditions.
