Canada and Mexico U.S. Land Borders Remain Closed For October

The Biden administration has responded to questions about re-opening land borders with neighbour Canada and Mexico.

It will be at least another month until U.S President Joe Biden and his administration consider easing the land border crossings, with it closed until October 21. The border has not been opened since March 2020.

Despite the land borders with its neighbours remaining shut, the U.S. has announced they are planning to ease air travel restrictions for fully vaccinated travellers in November. Those looking to travel must have proof of their certified double vaccination status and have taken a COVID test with negative results within 72 hours of departure.

For those looking to fly return between Canada and the U.S., this is exciting news. At the moment, only Canada is opened to valid travellers.
