Hidden deep in the Monashee Mountains of British Columbia sits Revelstoke Mountain Resort. A massive ski resort that is considerably underrated, it covers 3121 acres (1264 hectares) of fall line skiing, high alpine bowls, renowned gladed terrain and endless groomers. Plus, it has the largest vertical descent in North America, coming in at 5620 feet (1713m) and is blessed with an impressive snowfall, getting an average of 36 feet (11m) a season, making it a paradise for heli and cat skiing.

Boasting its own quaint ski-in, ski-out mountain village, it is only a short 10 minutes from the town of Revelstoke, where you’ll find authentic eateries to fulfil your après appetite. The location is also convenient for international travellers, with Revelstoke allowing air access from both Kelowna and Calgary, respectively, only a few hours away. Revelstoke Highlights

Offering over 3000 acres and the longest vertical decent in North America at 9.5 miles. Revelstoke or Revvy as the locals like to call it is an absolute must-do ski destination.

Established in 2007, Revelstoke Mountain Resort is fairly new. Discovered in the 1800’s when the Canadian Railway was built through the area. It is the adventure skiers and snowboarders paradise and offers activities from beginners to advanced.

One of the alpine jewels of the Rockies, Revelstoke is located beside the Columbia River and offers powdery glades and 4 alpine bowls. With a 4 ski lift system including the Revolution Gondola, Stellar Chair, Ripper Chair and the Stoke Chair that will take you all the way to the top at 2,225m.

The Last Spike is a thrilling 15.2km ski run and an adventure highlight of Revelstoke as it is the longest run in North America.

A 4.5 hour drive from Calgary and 6.5 hour drive from Vancouver. Revelstoke is an often overlooked destination, offering a quaint ski village experience and large powdery snowfalls.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort Village

The bustling village of Revelstoke Mountain Resort will give you a taste of a genuine Canadian ski village. It has over 40 places to eat, boutique shopping and nearby National Parks as well as hot springs.

The area is steeped in rich history and an important icon of the Canadian Railway. Visit a large range of historical museums and explore the vibrant history of Riverstoke including the role it played in the expansion of the Canadian Railway and the Japanese railworkers who built it.

The Vertical

Home to the longest ski run in North America. Revelstoke’s crown jewel is The Last Spike and it stretches an impressive 15.2km.

This green run is an experience all of its own and will take you down the face of the mountain. It is suitable for confident beginners and will take you right to the base. Glide through the alpine landscape and capture the breathtaking views as far as the eye can see.
