Le Massif, QUÈBEC

COVID-19 POLICY

The Massif de Charlevoix offers a true skiing adventure at the mountain. The Massif’s huge playground is sure to please. Whether you like freshly groomed ski slopes, powdery snow, skiing on a slope or in the backcountry, there is pure fun for everyone at the Massif de Charlevoix.

Le Massif de Charlevoix ski area is sometimes referred to as the sleeping giant of ski resorts in Eastern Canada, offering the best snow, views and an extended ski season. When considering your next ski destination, keep Le Massif in mind. Located in Petite-Rivière-Saint François, Charlevoix, Quebec, approximately 2 hours from Québec City and a popular destination for those also skiing nearby Mont Sainte-Anne.

WHY LE MASSIF?

Rising high above the mighty St. Lawrence River in the heart of Quebec’s Charlevoix is Le Massif. This resort is well known for the spectacular views, as well as its steep runs. In fact, Le Massif’s vertical drop is the highest in Eastern Canada and is one of the few ski areas that is accessible from both the base and the summit. Just don’t get too distracted by the panoramic views of the St. Lawrence river, when skiing Le Charlevoix. With the steepest trail with a pitch of 64%, you’re going to want to keep your eyes on the snow!

A sleeping giant of a mountain that’s home to some of the most spectacular skiing in Eastern Canada. Le Massif is about ninety minutes east of Quebec City and its international airport, not far from Mont-Sainte-Anne, and in the centre of the province’s picturesque Charlevoix region. It is known for its commanding views of the St. Lawrence, steep runs, state-of-the-art facilities, and tantalizing cuisine that’s some of the best you’ll find at any ski area’s base in Canada.

It’s also the mountain with the greatest vertical drop (770 metres; 2,526 feet) and the largest annual snowfall (650 cm; 21 feet) east of the Canadian Rockies.
Expert skiers can explore the 100 acres of off-trail terrain. The mountain has a skiable area that stretches over 53 ski slopes, some 406 acres (40 ha) and an average natural snowfall of 24 ft, (645 cm) and 70% of the skiable area is groomed. The ski season is longer because of its higher than average annual snowfall compared to other areas in the east. Speaking of east, at the east end of the mountain you can discover the thrill of sledding down the longest sled run in North America.
