Mont-Tremblant is really one of those ski resorts that is perfect for most visitors looking for the best of everything – great skiing, a picture-perfect pedestrian village, and après ski to fit the bill. We know you probably read that about many ski resorts, but we will explain why you should consider Tremblant for your next ski vacation. Ranked as the #1 ski resort in Eastern Canada, in fact in all of Eastern North America, Tremblant as we call it, has been award-worthy for more than two decades, and for good reason.

A visit to Tremblant will reconnect you with the joys of winter. Imagine yourself immersed here – the pleasures of the mountain, a uniquely charming pedestrian-only village, and a host of extraordinary activities and events that will make your stay at Tremblant unforgettable. You may never want to leave!

WHY MONT TREMBLANT?

You too will be seduced by the inimitable French style, Québec charm and European-inspired cobblestoned pedestrian village. A four season holiday destination and ski resort, Tremblant, entices skiers and snowboarders year after year, from across Canada, and around the globe. Also noteworthy, Mont-Tremblant is the highest peak in the Laurentians which means snow, and the largest ski resort in Québec.

It’s not always all about skiing, as we delight in what is the essence of Tremblant. Immerse yourselves into the French-inspired cuisine, experience a myriad of outdoor activities and adventures. Relax, renew and immerse your body and soul in Scandinavian spa experience. Thrill seekers can zip line, fly high in a helicopter tour, try paintball, snowmobiling and dogsledding. Cast a line in a frozen lake, whilst ice fishing, or stick to the downhill favourites of skiing and  snowboarding. All this and more, an incredibly beautiful and breathtaking winter landscape, is waiting for you at Mont-Tremblant.

With your family, sweetheart, friends or group, Tremblant welcomes vacationers on direct flights from Toronto, choose from 1,900 lodging units fanned out across the colourful pedestrian village, boasting thirteen hotel establishments, over seventy five restaurants, boutiques and a casino, all at nature’s doorstep.

ABOUT MONT TREMBLANT

THE SNOW

Tremblant Family Skiing

Tremblant is the highest peak in the Laurentians’ sitting some 2871 feet or 875 meters, guaranteeing breathtaking views across the winter landscape. Explore 102 ski trails interspersed across four distinct mountains. You will find trails each offering diverse terrain, satisfying even the most demanding skiers and terrain seekers, with over 2,000′ vertical and four unique mountain aspects. The best part is Tremblant’s swift base to summit gondola, a 10-minute trip in a “telécabine.” While not the towering Alps, Tremblant is a good-size Eastern mountain at 2,871’ and convenient from most condos and hotels in the village.

There is so much to discover, during your winter snow adventure, you will love it! The Laurentians are not the Canadian Rocky Mountains, so expect snow quality that’s appropriate for its altitude. On average, annual snowfall is around  13 feet or 4 metres, and to support mother nature’s gifts each winter, the resort has seriously invested in sophisticated snowmaking technology, firing up over 1,200 snow guns.

Mont Tremblant skier Tremblant’s South Side faces the village and is the sunniest side of the mountain, offering very family friendly wide runs as well as the Parc Gravité – which is loaded with big terrain park elements. Tremblant’s backside, features more challenging terrain and runs, and tests your skills on the hair-raising steeps of Dynamite – the steepest trail in Eastern Canada at 40-degrees! Whether you’re a thrill seeker looking for black-diamond glades, bumps and jumps, or cruisy green and blue runs, bathed in sunshine, this mountain has its own distinct flavour and appeal.

THE VILLAGE

Nightlife at Mont Tremblant

It’s a modern Intrawest designed ski village, that looks like a centuries-old alpine village, like something out of a ski fairy tale. Tremblant is truly a winter playground for everyone where you can live the snow holiday dream. The resort is perfectly positioned at the base of Mont-Tremblant, the mountain, and adjacent to Lake Tremblant. Immerse yourself in the heart of the European inspired pedestrian village, at the base of the ski lift system.

Ski access is easy, and when you’re not clicked into your gear, meander through the cobblestone pathways, and make incredible discoveries as you stroll through this picturesque pedestrian, car free, village, bustling with boutiques and pubs, at the foot of Mont Tremblant.

Tremblant’s playground rolls out the red carpet for you, or should we say, the white snow carpet. Entertainment is everywhere, every imaginable cuisine will tempt you. The village is at the heart of it all, and where you will find all the action, when you’re not on the mountain skiing or snowboarding.

Tremblant boasts luxurious hotels at the foot of the ski runs, as well as purpose built ski condominiums on the mountainside or by the golf course. There’s loads of options, to suit all travel budgets.

DISTANCE

It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk (in ski boots) from the Express Gondola to the perimeter of Tremblant Village.

OUR ADVICE

The place to stay is the Fairmont Tremblant, the only luxury five-star hotel that is truly ski-in, ski-out – with closest proximity to the lifts, and beautiful décor inside and out. We recommend a slope view room, and immerse your aching legs, in their fabulous outdoor hot tub and spa, and enjoy drinks on the terrace by the firepits as you watch skiers last run.

This is a sister resort to Fairmont Chateau Frontenac in Québec City, and Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, part of the iconic Fairmont family of Canada’s historic hotels.

If you are looking to be in the midst of the après ski scene, there is an excellent choice of full service luxury and mid-range hotels, including the lace St-Bernard, and the Westin Resort & Spa.

If you prefer larger or self-contained lodgings, and at a quieter pace, yet still with easy access to the slopes, there are many condo-style developments to choose from. Our team of expert travel planners can provide guidance and local knowledge on the most suitable options for your budget and wish list.

FUN FACT

Have a Beaver Tail – the Canadian version of fried dough, shaped like . . . you guessed it, a beaver’s tail. Kids love them, and they love Toufou –Tremblant’s oversized reindeer mascot who parades through town shaking little skiers’ hands.
