Brisbane will see its four times a week Air Canada flights from Vancouver (YVR) resume on July 1, 2022. New Zealand’s gateway Auckland Airport will start hosting three times a week flights from Vancouver from November 12, 2022.

Air Canada General Manager Australia and New Zealand, Vic Naughton, says “We are accelerating the restoration of our Australian and New Zealand routes to respond to pent-up travel between our countries as borders reopen.”

Update refund policy

Air Canada has announced an update to its refund policy with a full flight refund or Air Canada travel voucher with a 65% bonus should the airline cancel or reschedule a flight by more than three hours.

This will help to restore the confidence of Australian travellers who will be wanting to hit the slopes in the upcoming 2022/23 ski season.
